Need to get into Laos from the northern part of Vietnam.
Has anyone crossed the Na Maew or Nam Khan border crossings??
Can you get a visa on arrival at them and are they safe?
Don't really want to travel all the way down to Lao Bao if we don't have to.
Thanks

We're in Hanoi at the moment, planning to go across Laos into Northern Thailand.
Looking at the map the most ideal border crossing is Tay Trang yet the guidebook isn't sure whether foreigners can use it.
Does anyone have any up to date information? Has anyone travelled through it?
Thanks
